ATERG Crochet: Crochet Pattern Designer!

Just look at the colorful goodness of these crochet designs! Such a wonderful feast for the eyes! The designer of all this awesomeness is Greta from the Netherlands (yay!). Her motto is: “Never a day without crochet” and I couldn’t agree more! Greta’s designs take shape while she crochets, unravels, crochets and unravels etc to get exactly the shape and design she wants. I particularly love her elephant applique design. Can’t help myself – elephants are my favorite! And her applique heart crochet garland is nothing short of spectacular!
Scroll down this handful of examples of colorful crochet designs to find your own favorite, but remember that many more wonderful designs can be found at Greta’s Etsy shop!

Dante the Donkey and Carlos the Cactus – Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Cinco De Mayo Crochet Pattern
Cinco De Mayo Crochet Pattern
Dante and Carlos Crochet Pattern
Available in English or French*

Dante the Donkey and Carlos the Cactus are an unlikely but very loyal pair of amigos.

They met in the Mexican desert after Dante got lost straying too far from his family’s rancho. Carlos the Cactus chatted away and shook his maracas to cheer the little donkey up while he rested his weary legs through the long, dark night. By the morning they were firm friends. Bored of being mostly alone in the desert Carlos persuaded Dante to dig up his roots and put him in a terracotta pot so he could travel around with his new friend wherever he roamed.

Don’t worry, they eventually managed to find their way back to the rancho together where they now spend sunny days and starry nights planning their next daring adventure!

Dante measures approx. 9″ (23 cm) tall, Carlos measures approx. 5″ (13 cm) .

Pattern uses light worsted weight (DK/8 ply) yarn and a size D (3.25mm) Hook.

Suggested safety eye size – 9mm (Donkey)
6mm (Cactus)

Change the hook size and yarn weight to create different sized characters.

Detailed instructions and clear photographs are included to help you on your way.
This pattern is written in American crochet terminology and includes a handy stitch conversion chart so you can translate to British crochet terms instead should you wish to.

Pattern will be available for immediate download once payment is confirmed.

Friducha in Tehuana Dress Amigurumi Doll PDF Pattern (Crochet Typical Mexican Doll)

Cinco De Mayo Crochet Pattern
This is a pattern to make a doll representing a Mexican woman in typical Tehuana Suit. The dress is a regional traditional clothing from Tehuantepec, a city that has a reputation for being a “matriarchal society”, which at least holds true for their local markets.

The finish doll size is about 13″ (32.5cm) standing. Warning: the doll can’t stand on its own.
The PDF pattern is available in English (American standards).
The skill level is easy/intermediate, but don’t worry: if you’re a beginner, the pattern includes detailed instructions easy to follow, with demonstrative pictures and extra tutorials as an appendix.
To make the doll you need few things: scraps of yarns, a couple of crochet hooks, some stuffing and lots of love!
