This crochet pattern book is filled with 11 quick and easy project for your home made from chunky T-shirt yarn! Designer Kristi Simpson created patterns for an organizer, placemat set, oval rug, coasters, tote bag, large pouf, doily rug, openwork afghan throw blanket, hexagon motif rug, striped basket (with handles!) and a textured pillow, among others.

The patterns are suitable for beginners and the projects use two types of yarn, both made of soft stretch knit fabric: Bulky weight tube yarn and Super Bulky weight wide flat yarn.

Storyland Amis: Crochet Designer!

Cute, cuter and cutest! There are no other words to describe the crochet patterns of Holly, designer at Storyland Amis. Holly learned crochet from her sister in 2012 and started selling her unique designs only three years later! Her amigurumi plushies are bigger than you normally would expect (Holly calls them “cuddle sized!) and are therefore perfect for big snuggles! She has a Kawaii style of designing and we all know that those make for the cutest amigurumi!

The designer is Yumiko Alexander and in with her patterns she focusses on making eye-catching garments that feature simple modern lines. These mainly stitch based patterns can be dressed up or down and are very versatile.

For this book, the designer was inspired by the natural world, both in color and form. Her patterns shine the brightest when made in warm earth tones and they will certainly appeal to crocheters seeking for an upscale look in their creations!
