PATTERN FOR SPIDER (US)
(if you are used to using UK patterns SC means DC)
If you would like a bigger spider for older kids, use cotton 8/8 and a bigger hook, 4-4,5 and follow the pattern 🙂

- Yarn: 100% cotton 8/4
- Stuffing
- Is made top-to-bottom
- What is written between * – * should be repeated in the round.
- Be aware that the arms should be no longer than 22 cm for safety reasons.
1 round: Make an adjustable loop and and make 6 sc (or ch 4, then join stitches with a sl st. This is the foundation ring, make 6 sc in the loop) (6)
2 round: make 2 sc into east stitch (12)
3 rounds: * 1 sc, 2 sc into the next stitch * (18)
4-6 round: 1 sc into each stitch (18)
7 rounds : * 1 sc, 2 sctg (dec) * (12)
8 round: 1 sc into each stitch (12)
9 round: * 1 sc, 2 sc into the next stitch * (18)
10 round: 1 sc into each stitch (18)
11 round: 8 sc, 40 ch, turn with a ch, 2 sc into each ch, 9 sc, 40 ch, turn with a ch, 2 sc i into each ch, 1 ch (18)
12 round: * 2 sc, 2 sc into the next stich * (lift the arms so you can crochet normally on each side of the armes – do the same with the other arms to) (24)
13 round: 1 sc into each stitch (24)
14 round: 11 sc, 40 ch, turn with a ch, 2 sc into each ch, 12 sc, 40 ch, turn with a ch, 2 sc into each ch, 1 sc (24)
15 round: * 3 sc, 2 sc int the next stitch * (30)
16 round : 1 sc into each stitch (30)
17 round : 14 sc, 40 ch, turn with 1 ch, 2 sc into each ch, 15 sc, 40 sc, turn with 1 ch , 2 sc into each CH, SC 1 (30)
18 round : * 3 sc, 2 sctg (Dec) * (24)
19 round : 1 sc into each stitch (24)
20 round : 11 sc, 40 ch, turn with 1 ch, 2 sc into each ch, 12 sc, 40 ch, turn with 1 ch, 2 sc into each ch, 1 sc (24)
21 round : * 2 sc, 2 sctg (dec) * (18)
