Round 5: (7 sc, 1 inc) * 3 (27), close with slipstitch.
Fasten off, leave a yarn tail.
Second Heart “Ear”

Round 8: Continue to crochet on the first heart ear with 23 sc. Skip 4 stitches and continue to crochet on the second heart ear for 23 sc. In total, you should have 46 stitches. (46)
Use the yarn tail of the first heart ear to stitch the two heart ears together at the place where the stitches were skipped (see photo). Continue to crochet in a spiral.
