Here we are with another roundup of crochet designs featuring llamas and alpacas! These Central American animals have been the subjects of shows and movies, even cartoons! Remember Disney's Kuzco? Most of this crochet animal’s head and body is covered by the fur, made up of the repeated circular crochet pattern. For the head, they resemble the hair on top of the face, like in humans. The bottom half of the head not covered by the circular fur is the face. The face contains cute black buttons as eyes and a protruding snout with a simple thread pattern. Jutting out of the fur on top of the head are two long ears with a distinct crochet pattern. Going down the head would be the somewhat short neck and then the body. Both the neck and the body are covered with the circular fur described. The thighs and legs are also covered with this circular fur. Only the tips of the feet are not covered. The designer combines the llama and alpaca together to make this llampaca amigurumi doll! This llampaca crochet toy is the right amounts of simplicity and detail – oriented put together in one. This particular crochet design has two colors as bases because the face, ears, tail, and paws are a different color from the body – a.k.a. the body’s “fur”. This makes it stand out from the other crochet designs. Aside from that, I like how it is kind of realistic with the body proportions and that this crochet toy really stands up. Also, the two base colors are white or cream for the fur and beige for the face, ears, tail, and paws. This makes the crochet doll resemble the real – life Andean animals it draws inspiration from.
