This free amigurumi sunflower crochet pattern is the perfect way to welcome back Spring! This crochet sunflower is made with happy yellow colors!
Materials
- Yarn – I used bright yellow, dark brown and light green acrylic yarn, with a bit of black for embroidering the mouth.
- Crochet hook that matches the yarn size – I used hook size 3mm.
- Safety eyes – I used size 12 mm.
- Stuffing.
- Bamboo pole (or other material).
- Tapestry needle for sewing the parts together.
- Scissors.

Close the little leave stem, and fasten off.
Leave a long yarn tail for sewing the two leaves to the bamboo stem.
Putting Your Sunflower Together:
Sew the two halves of the sunflower heart together (using the long dark brown yarn tail) sandwiching the flower petals in between the two halves.
Before sewing the two last petals in, start stuffing the flower heart.
Insert the bamboo pole in the flower heart in between the two flower petals on the bottom of the flower heart (see photos). This may take a bit of wriggling in order to get it through the stuffing. Keep turning and pushing!
Sew the leaves to the bamboo pole using the long yarn tail of one of the leaves. Put the leaves on either side of the bamboo stem and sew them together with the bamboo pole in between. You’ll create something looking like a corkscrew on the stem (see photos).
Pop your finished crochet sunflower in a vase or put it in the soil of a plant!
